If this is your first overnight stay at the lodge, a little preparation will make the weekend much more comfortable. The lodge provides shared sleeping rooms and basic furnishings, but members are responsible for bringing their own personal and sleeping items. Below is a photo showing the layout of the upstairs 4-person bunk rooms. Additional shelves and hooks (not pictured) are located at the foot of each bed, to the right and left of the photo.

Essential items
Plan to bring all of the following items:
- Pillow
- Sleeping bag or twin sheets and a blanket
- Slippers or “house” socks, for use inside the lodge after boots and winter gear come off. Shoes are only permitted in the mud room and basement.
- Bath towel and face cloth
- Personal toiletries, including soap, shampoo, toothbrush, etc. Some members find a shower caddy to be useful.
- Charging cords and/or a power strip. Power outlets with USB power are available; a multi-plug or USB-friendly strip is often helpful. Bunkroom plugs are several feet away from the plugs, especially for the bottom bunks, so extra long cables are recommended.
Helpful to know
- Bunkrooms include basic lighting and a night light, but many guests appreciate having a small personal light or headlamp.
- Storage space is shared; soft bags are easier to manage than hard suitcases.
- Quiet hours are observed in the lodge from 11pm – 7am, and bunkrooms are shared with other members. You should prepare your bunk as soon as you arrive so as not to disturb guests that choose to turn in early.
Optional (but commonly brought)
These aren’t required, but many people bring them:
- Mattress pad — A simple mattress is provided. Many members prefer to bring a pad for additional comfort.
- Earplugs — for shared rooms, different sleep schedules, bunkmates who snore, snowplows, and the crash of falling snow from the roof.
- Eye mask. Bunkroom windows have loose curtains, however, outside lights are on motion sensors and are often triggered by late arriving guests, and aforementioned falling snow!
- Flip-flops or shower sandals
- Personal reading light or headlamp
- Food, snacks, or alcoholic beverages in addition to the group meals. On Saturday, breakfast, après-ski snacks, and dinner are provided. On Sunday, breakfast is provided. Food and drink items should be stored in the cubbies or member refrigerators downstairs.
